Prince Louis may never take the British throne – but he made sure his appearance on Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee Overpass will go down in history.
Prince William and Kate Middleton’s 4-year-old son, the Duchess of Cambridge, stood by his great-grandmother as he covered his ears and made a “home alone” Macaulay Culkin-style face.
Twitter immediately erupted with a photo of icy Elizabeth and screaming Louis with all sorts of amusing explanations.
“As a parent of a four-year-old who didn’t inherit the throne. Prince Louis, we see you and we understand you,” former White House press secretary Jen Psaki tweeted.
“People were worried that others would eclipse the Queen. Prince Louis took up the challenge,” another user wrote.

Since the social media response was so good, we decided to get involved as well.
Louis’ endearing performance came amid huge cheers from the mall crowd as he and his famous family gathered on the balcony during the Jubilee Flyover. They were there to watch RAF planes whizz overhead to kick off a four-day celebration to mark the Queen’s Jubilee.
Louis’ on-stage antics came after he was seen waving at the plane and even chatting with his great-grandmother. Once, Her Majesty bent down to speak to the little prince, who raised his head and listened carefully to her every word. However, the little prince seems to have been reprimanded several times by his mother and sister.
The Platinum Jubilee marks the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty the Queen – a major tribute to the longest-reigning monarch. The UK will host several celebrations for royal supporters and her famous family.
Also in attendance were Prince Louis’ siblings, Prince George, 8, and Princess Charlotte, 7, as well as their parents, Prince William, 39, and Middleton, 40.
The UK’s BBC is partnering with ABC to broadcast all events in the US, while other US news channels, including NBC, will also cover the festivities. Check out The Post’s handy guide to watch the four-day celebration in full.
Queen Elizabeth II will miss Friday’s National Thanksgiving service at St Paul’s Cathedral after feeling “unwell” during Thursday’s celebrations, a spokesman said.
