HBO announced Monday that its hit show “Inheritance” is officially back in production for a fourth season, which will consist of 10 episodes, one more than the nine episodes in the third season.

Actors Brian Cox, Jeremy Strong, Sarah Snook, Kieran Culkin, Alan Rooker, Matthew McFadden, J Smith-Cameron and Nicholas Braun have both confirmed their return.

The show will once again feature series creator Jesse Armstrong with Adam McKay, Frank Rich, Kevin Messick, Jane Te Jane Tranter, Mark Mylod, Tony Roche, Scott Ferguson, Jon Brown, Lucy Prey Lucy Prebble, Will Tracy and Will Ferrell executive produce.

Inheritance earned an impressive 23 Emmy nominations over its first two seasons, with nine wins.

The 1.4 million viewers was a 21% increase from the second season finale, which aired in October 2019, and a 13% increase from the second season premiere, which aired in August 2019.

The third season premiere was also 39% higher than the series premiere that aired in June 2018.
