The personal trainer upgraded his office after the sale, moving his business to a sleek new space.

The Melbourne-based entrepreneur sold Sam Wood’s 28 to myDNA, which provides clients with personalised fitness and wellness programmes based on analysis of their DNA results.
“I’m very proud of what we’ve achieved so far and am even more excited about the future prospects of myDNA,” Wood told news.com.au.
Under the agreement, Wood will become an investor in myDNA with a 5% stake.

Since Sam Wood launched28 in 2016, the scheme has attracted more than 400,000 individual users and has partnered with companies such as Woolworths and Blackmores Vitamins.

“I think that’s why we’ve had the success we’ve had, and with myDNA, what we think is really attractive is the extra level of personalisation that’s being achieved through genomics,” he told The Australian Financial Review.

Dennis Bastas, chairman of myDNA, told AFR that 28 by Sam Wood’s custom app and website were a big factor in the $71 million deal.
“Sam has a huge following, the platform itself is a wonderful user experience, and honestly, from a myDNA standpoint, the appeal of acquiring his business is for all the people that go with it,” Basstas said.
Earlier this year, Wood made headlines by uploading a side-by-side photo of himself showing how he went from “daddy figure” to bodybuilder in just two months.
The father-of-four explains he gained weight before the Christmas break and decided to follow his own 28 by Sam Wood plan to get back in shape.

The fitness mogul is married to Snezana Wood (née Markoski), whom he met on the third season of The Bachelor in 2015.
The reality TV couple, who have been married for four years, welcomed their third daughter, Harper Jones, on May 4.
They are also parents to Charlie, two, and Willow, three. Wood is the stepfather of 16-year-old Eve, the daughter of Snezana’s ex-wife.
