Nier: Automata Confirms Switch Launching This October

renew [Tue 28th Jun, 2022 14:35 BST]: Following rumors earlier today that Taro Yoko and PlatinumGames’ Nier: Automata could be coming to Switch, today’s Nintendo Direct Mini: Partner Showcase made the official announcement.dubbing Nier: Automata – The End of YoRHa Edition (released in 2019 for PC and PS4), it will be released on Switch on October 6, 2022.

ability [Tue 28th Jun, 2022 01:45 BST]: A special Nintendo Direct Mini: The Partner Showcase is set to air in the UK later today, and of course, the rumours have already started.

Spanish gaming journalist Nacho Requena, who accurately predicted the date of the latest Direct and its third-party focus, has reportedly teased some games that may be making their way to Nintendo’s hybrid platform.

One is Atlus’ Role series and another action role-playing game believed to be Square Enix, Neil: Automata:

“I’ve also been told there will be some Persona games, but I don’t know which ones

“I’ve also been told that there will be another game coming out for a while on other platforms…it’s been out for four years.”

PlatinumGames’ game Nier Automata first appeared on PlayStation 4 and PC in 2017, followed by Xbox One in 2018. The team behind this release has previously mentioned how they’ll be opening up to the Switch port, and on one stage, told Switch fans to ask Square Enix if they wanted to see it happen. Last year’s NieR data-mining also reportedly hinted at possible Switch plans.

As for Persona, it has been rumored that the first few entries in the series will be coming to the Nintendo Switch at some stage, recently Persona 3 Portable Edition, Persona 4 Goldand Persona 5 Royal Announced for Xbox at a 2022 showcase.

Another rumour circulating is that Metroid Prime Remaster has apparently launched in November and will launch alongside Prime 2 and 3.
