‘Harry and Meghan’ clip criticized for alleged inconsistencies

The second trailer for the Harry and Meghan documentary series quickly drew criticism from British tabloids, calling the series “misleading”.

Critics claim some of the footage used in the trailer shows moments captured by the media and paparazzi that have nothing to do with Harry and Meghan.

“The couple face allegations that some of their representations of the media moment were misleading,” said ABC News royal contributor Victoria Murphy. “We obviously have to see the whole thing, but if the media is a big bad in this thing, which they seem to be, then I think we’re going to see resistance if people think there’s unfair representation.”

In one example pointed out by critics, the photographer’s photo shown in the newly released trailer is actually from 2011, five years before the couple started dating.

In another instance, a group of cameras identified as Meghan was heard saying, “I realize, they’ll never protect you,” actually filming former President Donald Trump’s former lawyer Michael Cohen in 2019.

Harry and Meghan have not commented on the docuseries since the trailer was released.

Netflix also did not comment on the criticisms.

Harry’s royal relatives remain silent on docuseries

William and Kate, like the rest of the royal family, have not publicly commented on the Sussexes’ documentary series.

“William, Kate, Harry and Meghan showed a real sense of unity at the Queen’s funeral, but I think it’s always been a show of unity,” Murphy said, referring to the couple’s first joint in more than two years. Made a public appearance at the Queen’s funeral in September. “We’re seeing now, with the documentary and with Harry’s book, how deep those divisions still are, and I think they could get bigger depending on the documentary and the book. Content.”

Documentary series from an Oscar-nominated director

“It’s nice to be able to entrust our story to someone – an experienced director whose work I’ve always admired – even if it means it might not be how we tell it. But that’s not why we tell it ,” Megan said. “We entrust our story to other people, which means it will be through their lens.”

She continued, “It’s been fun. My husband has never worked in this industry before. For me, being on Suits, being able to have so much creativity, seeing how people work together, sharing their It’s a really great view from its own point of view. It’s really interesting.”

Netflix describes the documentary as ‘unprecedented’

In the documentary series, Harry and Meghan share “a different side to their high-profile love story,” Netflix said in a statement.
