I’m a craft beer lady, through and through. Give me anything but IPA or DIPA or TIPA with a silly name and I’m hooked. Fortunately, I live in the smallest state in the country and the craft beer community is just as tight as it comes—not to mention that getting to any of your favorites doesn’t take much time (although Rhode Islanders will tell you anything longer than 20 minutes away requires packed lunch).
Although not far from any of them, I still prefer a certain place around the corner from where I live – Moniker Brewery.
Moniker has practically become my second home. It’s the first place I take people when they come to visit me and they all have a misty distance (Hefeweizen) poured out for me every time I walk in the front door.
Last weekend, a new patron decided to visit the brewery, possibly to experience a flight.
That’s right, the boss was a bird and at this point I’m pretty convinced that they strayed back from Boston and are in fact the entire Baltimore Orioles.
Whether it was George Kirby’s filthy slides or the Seattle attack’s ability to find every gap on the field, the Mariners made Baltimore look lost at sea tonight.
For George Kirby, he started the night a bit like his earlier starts as he gave up 16 combined results and 9 wins against Oakland and Boston. Fortunately for him, and the hilarious band of friends and family from Elon that we love, it didn’t go on like this.
Although Baltimore held the 27th-lowest walk in the league at 7.5%, Kirby gave up walking only four strokes in his turn. This rally turned out to be the only one of the evening and was immediately followed by a much better result – the halftime strike (which is totally better).
From now on, Kirby focused on brewing the correct combination of pitches to get seven more players to strike. Do you know what goes well with an artisanal brew? sliders.
From my calculations and also the help my glasses give me so I can actually, you know, throw the slider about a quarter of a walk.
This scheme is much tastier. Those four little red dots in the lower right corner are all sliders, and they represent 4 of the 8 tones that hit some oriole (sorry, beta). This is an example of one that made Cedric Mullins feel a little dizzy.
Kirby finished his night with a 6.0 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 0 R, 8 Ks. Atta George.
We all know that a brewery that consistently produces one truly brewery, truly A good pilsner, IPA (lol, not mine) or stout, but for whatever reason nothing else can be made to come anywhere near the caliber that the best beer has. They carry their best beer as far as possible, but in the end you don’t have the backing of anything else at stake to truly make the brewery a success story.
Mariners fans should now know the silly little metaphor that comes with every good script performance by a member of our starting core.
If only crime can provide any support.
We would have had it if we could score two rounds.
Just because our SP locked it doesn’t mean we should let the other SP get one too.
Fortunately, this was not a game. I’m not sure what got into the team, but anyone who knows reading that’s what it means to have a good supportive sports bra knows that for whatever reason the Mariners brag and go with that’s sweet.
In a review, sailors:
- He had 10 runs 13 hits
- Hit 3 times before the Orioles hit 5 of the day
- Taylor Trammell had four types of RBIs
- All novice players got at least one hit (sorry, JP)
- Strikes 5-9 represent 9 out of 10 runs in the night
And they did all this without running a single one on their land. Just a good little ball.
Whether he eats, sleeps, breathes, smiles, laughs, or laughs, the world is watching Julio. The 21-year-old fluorescent lamp that has lit up brightly in the club from the moment he walked in, catches the eye wherever he goes, so it is fitting that he has had three of the most exciting moments in the game today.

Julio Rodriguez vs Brian Baker#SeauUsRise
Bike exit: 99.3 mph
Launch angle: 25 degrees
project. Distance: 384 feet
This could have been a home run at 29/30 MLB ballparks.
Only Oriole Park at Camden Yards would have kept this.

Is this hitting the score in the first round of the game? yes. But was it at home? Ask any stadium other than Camden Yards and the answer will be yes. But Julio lost luck in the Olympics when he tried to go into the arena about a billion new feet of field in the field.
Do I need to say more?
#3 Colorful outside the lines
At the top of Group H in a 9-0 match, Julio Rodriguez was sent off from the match.

With the first game in the series in the books, navigators can confidently say they’ve jumped out of a plane in BWI with
A dream and a cardigan appetite to win. The night was fun, and hopefully their opponent won’t get lost too much on the way to the field before the next game.
