Apple Introduces Apple Music Sing
Apple Music expands its world-class lyrics experience with a new feature that makes it easy for fans to sing along to tens of millions of songs
Cupertino, California Apple today announced Apple Music Sing, an exciting new feature that lets users sing along to their favorite songs with an adjustable vocal1 and real-time lyrics. Apple Music Sing offers multiple lyric views to help fans lead, perform duets, backing vocals, and more—all integrated into the unparalleled lyric experience on Apple Music. Combined with an ever-expanding catalog of tens of millions of the world’s most singable songs, Apple Music Sing makes it easy and fun for anyone to get involved, no matter how or where they choose.
Apple Music Sing will be available to Apple Music subscribers worldwide later this month on iPhone, iPad and the new Apple TV 4K.
“The lyrics experience on Apple Music has always been one of the most popular features on our service,” said Oliver Schusser, vice president of Apple Music and Beats at Apple. “We already know that users all over the world love to follow along to their favorite songs, so we wanted to take this product a step further and allow more people to engage with music by singing. It’s really fun and our customers will love it.”
Singing on Apple Music includes:
- Adjustable Vocal: Users can now control the volume of songs. They can sing, lead or remix millions of songs from the Apple Music catalog with original vocals by the artist.
- Live Lyrics: Users can sing along to their favorite songs, with animated lyrics dancing to the rhythm of the vocals.
- Background Vocals: Vocal lines sung at the same time can be animated independently of the lead singer, making it easier for users to keep up.
- Duet View: Multiple singers appear on opposite sides of the screen, making duet or multi-singer tracks easy to sing together.
Apple Music will also release a set of more than 50 dedicated companion playlists Featuring all the epic songs, duets, choruses and anthems that have captivated people around the world – fully optimized for the Apple Music Sing experience.
